Code of Conduct

For the purpose of the Code of Conduct, ‘SAMA Admin Team’ refers to the founders and the independent volunteers acting as core managers, ‘SAMA Organisers’ refers to the independent volunteers acting closely with the managers to maintain the delivery of our services, ‘SAMA Mentors’ refers to the independent volunteers acting as mentors that SAMA matches with students, and ‘SAMA Users’ refers to those students who have applied for a mentorship programme or use of any other of our services.  

All of the SAMA Admin Team and volunteers (i.e. organisers and mentors), and service users (i.e. students) must abide by the following rules: 

  1. Volunteers cannot charge any fees for their services and must not poach students for personal benefits. 
  1. Respecting the Equality Act 2010 and the Human Rights Act 1998
  1. No personal data ought to be shared without the written authorisation of the person concerned. 
  1. In order to maintain transparency, communication and collaboration should always be resorted to where any conflicts arise. 
  1. The logo, the name as well as any content published on this website or any other social media platform run by a SAMA account are solely the assets and intellectual property of SAMA Lebanon. 
  1. Mentors and students should always act to protect company assets, including physical, intellectual, and electronic or digital properties.
  1. This company is committed to providing a work environment free of discrimination and unlawful harassment. Actions, words, jokes, or comments based on an individual’s sex, race, ethnicity, age, religion, or any other legally protected characteristics are not tolerated.
  1. As per the disclaimer and privacy policy, SAMA Lebanon is not liable for any of the above. However, if you have been subjected to any breach of the above conduct, please contact us at: contact.samalebanon@gmail.com and we will make sure that you are able to enjoy the services we provide away from the person you have complained about. SAMA Lebanon will ensure that any person liable of harassing another is no longer part of the SAMA Admin Team, Volunteers or Users. 

SAMA Lebanon reserves the right to revoke a mentor or student’s access to the services if they don’t abide and respect the Code of Conduct (this page), Terms of Use, Privacy Notice, Cookie Policy, and Website Disclaimer (all available on our website).
